On September 29,2009 I noticed a charge to my debit card from classmates.com. It was for the yearly gold membership. Problem was that I didn't authorize such a purchase. I had purchased a membership in 2008,and because of the economy decided to forgo it this year.

It sounds good, but once you pay to access its services, there is little that is meaningful as guestbook entries, for example, only have the name of the person who signed it.
I had been a member willingly for the three months which I authorize payment for and now find myself continuing a membership ...

Classmates is another website which enables you to register yourself, saying which schools/universities you attended and fill in your details so that you can find old friends and acquaintances and they can find you.
