    A happy film. Very similar to the author's 'Secret Garden'. For children of all ages and the young at heart. A fantasy but one that pulls at the heart strings and inevitably has a totally happy ending. The dream sequences not really necessary. Delightful entertainment. Good for the soul.

    There are many good points about A Little Princess one being that as it is set quite far back in the past you get a real taste of what life was like then between parent and son and in a big household, just to name a few.
