This is an utterly, utterly brilliant film.
The way it is filmed, i.e. as if you are there as a soldier, is ultra-realistic and so are the special effects. I think for realism this is the best war film. When the Allied troops have just landed and are trying to take the beach you watch through the ...

Saving Private Ryan is a none stop edge of your seat film. The actual length of the film felt like minutes because it flowed so well. A typical Tom Hanks masterpiece!

Saving Private Ryan is by far the best war film ever. The film has the best effects in any war film I've seen and the main actor Tom Hanks suits the perfect role as well as an appearence from Vin Diesel. This film is highly addictive and has the best effects ever. The film can be put on 5.1 digital ...

Saving Private Ryan has to be one of the best war movies I have ever seen. It has a good story line and it has the gore of war (unlike most war movies!) without going over the top and making you want to turn off the sound or something. Overall I think this is a very succesful film and I will continu ...

Oh no, not another American sanitised war movie where the good guy always wins - WRONG!
From the harrowing opening scenes on D-Day as the American troops were massacred before they even got off their landing craft . . . to the final conflict in the French town, you couldn't help but feel as thoug ...
