    The QB88 might be said to sit at the top of the cheap-Chinese airgun heap.     It took a little work but this has turned out to be a fine gun of good quality with marginal quality control. The finish on the stock is excellent, the bluing on the metal is good and there is almost no plastic. The trigger guard is some sort of quality nylon. This gun can shoot with 3" at 25 yards ...

    The Shanghai QB88 looks like a TF41 until you pick it up and feel its improved handling due to a better Monte Carlo stock and smoother trigger. This light weight rifle can make hits on 4" targets out to 50 yards with iron sights. It's probably more accurate inside 40 yards which is far more consiste ...

    Shooting procedure:
    Push small lever on the top of the cocking lever to release the cocking lever.
    Pull cocking lever back as far as it will go.
    Insert pellet directly into breech.
    Push red button on the underside of the forearm to release the anti-beartrap safety, and ease cocking lever forward ...

    This Shanghai QB88 was my first springer airgun. I bought a Crosman 66 powermaster last December (85% plastic parts). The powermaster cost me $38 at Wal-Mart, about 2.5lbs, shoots 650fps, very accurate to about 30 feet. I got tired of pumping the darn Crosman 8-10 times per shot. So I went shopping ...
