My 2240 is technically a 1740 as it has been converted down from .22 to .177.
Very good gun still though, 10" barrel etc
accurate and sufficiently powerful for pest control up to 20 metres

This pistol is very good for anybody. The gun itself is really easy to mod and easy to disassemble also since i use the predator pellets their very accurate and deadly to any small game animal. There are no bad points

Love this gun, i put a 5.5" custom made compensator on it, and just recieved a crosman shoulder stock for it for it. Right now im waiting to recieve my scope mounts in the mail. The Crosman 2240 is one of the best pistols out there. It's a single shot, bolt action co2 pistol. In stock form it produces velocities in the 460 fps range. The Crosman 2240 is a accurate powerful gun. I don't think you will find a pistol as powerful in this price range - $80 CDN. There are others as fast as it but not as powerful because it shoots a heavier .22 cal pellet. The 2240 shoots a 14.3 gr. pellet at 460 fps = 6.72 foot pounds you may find oth ...

I just received the Crosman 2240. It is a single shot, co2 gas operated pistol. I just had shot 100 pellets with it. It accurate enough for general target shooting. It is more powerful than my Daisy 622x (22cal) pellet pistol.
