I bought this product off ebay for about $200(AU) and am generally pleased with the phone. Unfortunately i wasn't supplied with a manual, so i probably haven't experienced all the phone has to offer. One bad point is the way the backlight turns off when the phone is open (sms, wap, etc.) I overcame ...

I CAN SEE THAT THE PROBLEMS WITH THIS PHONE ARE VERY COMMON TO ALL ITS OWNERS, I HOPE THAT ERICSSON WILL RESPOND FOR ALL OUR INCONVENIENCES.

The Ericsson R380s mobile phone promises everything that you dream of especially if you are on the move with a PDA and a phone - your chance to combine both. I seem to be having the all problems reported here on my Ericsson R380s mobile phone.
1. The paint scratches easily.
2. The touch screen constantly locks up on incoming calls making it unable to answer.
3. Every single call i mak is discconnected with in one minute.

I was excited about this Ericsson R380s phone to begin with, but that soon faded. The phone gets slower and slower, and the battery life is unacceptable (I have to charge daily!)

I've only one advice: DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!
In the beginning I was very excited about this R380s phone from Ericsson. The interface looked nice and the hardware was compact. The interface of NOKIA phones maybe not that fancy at all but one can be sure of the fact that they NEVER crash! Conclusion: ...

The concept of a combination phone/palmpilot is great but it seems the technology is not yet capable. Ericsson have damaged their reputation by releasing this product, the R380s, before having perfected it.
