    I've owned this lens for 10 years now, used on many different Nikon bodies, and its never let them down, awesome little workhorse of a lens!

    The Sigma 28-105 lense is a sure bang for the buck! :)
    you get what you have paid for, it is lightweight, sharp copy, fast autofocus, and quiet on my d300 :)

    I bought my Sigma 28-105 f2.8-4 after purchasing my Nikon F60 with a standard Nikkor 28-70 D. The Nikkor was built so pooly, I had to upgrade. The Sigma is a nice lens to use, but, when manual focussing, it is quite easy to grip the focus ring tightly, causing the ring stick (I'm a bit heavy handed) ...

    My Sigma 28-105 f2.8-4 35mm SLR lens has already required repair because the focus belt wore out after only moderate use. Sigma also has a problem with shapness consistancy. Some of these are sharp, some are very soft. Stick with your camera mfg 28-105.
