    Managed to unlock for all regions, enable VCD & SVCD - now even better! Color problem experienced when trying to play Region 1 DVD's after unlocking but that was solved after fliping the switch on the back of the unit to PAL and powering the unit back on!!!!     I bought an LG DVD5353 (very similar to the DVD5253). The price/quality ratio is EXCELLENT. It's user friendly, the picture quality is really good... no comments whatshowever; this is exactly what I wanted for the price. And I got 3 free DVD titles with it also !
