Well ... I have no function, and NO agenda. As a veteran of the War in Angola, I read your Fighting Scared, and am ever thankful for having purchased the book. I believe it taught me the one thing that has plagued me since I left the army - and that was the answer to the nagging question, "did I do e ...

What a fantastic read. I couldn't put it down. It was a real shame how Rob was treated by the army. What a wasted talent that the army could have utilised. Well worth reading! I saw a lot of myself in this story. Not the SAS bit obviously, but his life in general.

I love SAS books and this was nothing like the others that I've read; however, I loved the depth and unusual approach of the author. I would fully recommend anyone to read it.

For a refreshing insight into the mind of a fighting man; buy Fighting Scared: My Life in the SAS. Robin Horsfall has written a book of great depth that opens doors that are usually left closed by less secure men. Anyone who says "this is the same old stuff" clearly hasn't read the book.

Robin Horsfall, Fighting Scared: My Life in the SAS - The description of his early years is moving and honest. He is obviously driven to prove himself and does exactly that in a remarkable way. This is the only book I have ever read that ends with the word Love.

I got Robin Horsfall's Fighting Scared to read on a long journey and it made the journey even longer.
It was the same as all the other books writen by ex soldiers about the Army/S.A.S., I was expecting more from this book maybe too much, after the first chapter I knew what was going to be like for ...
