The Nissan Micra K10 GSX provides cheap & cheerfull motoring. Very reliable. I don't recommend buying the later k12, can be very expensive to repair.

I am another person whose timing chain has gone on a Nissan Micra 03 plate. The car has done 47,000 miles and is serviced each year.
