    I bought this HP Deskjet 840C 7 years ago and has given me trouble twice but i fixed it both times and I am not mechanically inclined. If you can get one buy it.

    I have had this printer for about 10 years. It has not given me any trouble and meets all my printing needs. Using glossy paper produces fantastic results from photos.     Very good quality for a not so high price. I am very happy with it, if you want lightning fast printings, just organize your time previously... it is somehow slow but the quality is very good for this basic printer

    I cannot print thick paper with the HP Deskjet 840C it just tears it all up...
    This is definitely the printer with which I have had the most problems in all my life.

    The HP Deskjet 840C is a terrible printer. It is cheap, but not even worth it. Extremely slow...takes 3-5 minutes to print one page, and it isn't even that old.     I have had this Hewlett Packard Deskjet 840C inkjet printer for one and a half years. It is a very basic and slow (but cheap) printer. Not for printing 200 pages in a row. Very satisfied with it.
