    I just love Petersen's words. I think they get to the very essence of God's message! I particularly like his re-wording of the Lord's Prayer. I find it a good version of the Holy Scripture for 'new' christians, if I may use the term. Good language which doesn't leave the reader confused.

    Eugene Peterson created this paraphrase of the Bible from the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts, not by simply paraphrasing from an existing translation.
