Regeneration is a clever and well thought out book which incorporates both factual and fictional characters to portray a true un-rose tinted image of the horror of the First World War. In particular she highlights the mental and physical effects the experience of trench warfare had on these men.

I was very disappointed with the Regeneration novel by Pat Barker, as it had been recommended to me numerous times.
