My Daughter and I have almost all the Julia Donaldson books and this one is one of my favourites. Its not as easy to get hold of but its well worth the search. This book is all about problem solving. The text allows the reader to both read and sing. The phrasing of most of the words of the butterfly can be sung to "Hush little baby don't say a word, daddy's going to buy you a mocking bird...'

We enjoyed the whole story and thought it was funny when the butterfly kept getting the wrong animal! We also liked the part when the butterfly said that her babies didn't look like her. We really enjoyed reading the book. We thought it was funny and it was our favourite book!
