The gamo cf-30 is a good rifle and great value for money, would be even better if it was quieter, great accuracy when a scope is fitted and set up properly, also the front sight could do with being secured properly as mine fell out.

Fasten your seat belts!!!!! I have a .22 and it was noisy with a lot of recoil. As D.I.Y is in my blood I opened the Gamo CF-30 gun and made some adjustments. Don't laugh it really work out fine. I used heavy outdoor tape. Yes read it again.
This is what I did;
First I cleaned the gun inside. ...

When I started looking for an air rifle, I had the following criteria for selecting an air rifle:
1. Accuracy
2. +- 1000 Ft/sec
3. Economical
Living in South Africa makes it expensive for the average citizen to buy a precharge rifle. The Gamo CF-30 got my attention, as it is well finished and ...

I have had my Gamo CF-30 air rifle for two years, and I'm very pleased with it. It is light. The recoil is smooth without a hint of vibration, and the accuracy superb. I can hit 5 cent coins at 55 yards every time.

I recently purchased a second-hand Gamo CF-30 in .177 which had had only a couple of tins of pellets fired through it. The stock was badly scratched in a few places, so I painted it black and gave it a coat of satin varnish. Lovely. I also bought a Gamo red dot sight because the iron sights were not ...

After reciveing the Gamo CF-30 and zeroing the scope, I took it for a few shots down a mates farm. Did I know what I was in for? The power is spot on and the recoil nice to have. Very good budget gun for the beginner and a nice little toy to have for the more experienced marks man alike.

I very much like using my Gamo CF-30 as it has the feel of a cold killer. Although some may argue that it lacks character I personally enjoy the look and feel of a real gun and find much to recommend its use on small to medium quarry say up to a hare at 30-35 metres (around 100ft). Although it can ...
