I've had a BSA Cadet .177 that my grandad gave me (by then a well used and loved little rifle) 20 some years. Not spot on with the fixed sights but consistent and reliable. If you want a back yard plinker and can find one of these buy it!

The cadet is a great rifle for the young starter but for anyone over 15 i would recomend you look somewhere els but for a vermint controller this is one you should have a look at it is perfect for rats, mice, birds and other household menaces just not the kid's.

i have owned two of these BSA Cadet .177 rifles and they are perfect for varmint control(rats,mice,pesky birds..ect)the accuracy is not spot on but for a backyard protector it is absolutely perfect it handles like a pencil so if you see a group of rats trying to take down one of your chooks it is ea ...

I recived this BSA Cadet rifle off my pop when i was 9 so i was quite supprised when i saw it on the net. This rifle is a good starter for a young inthusiast but for someone over 18 you should probably look at getting somthing more like a Gamo shadow 1000 or a bsa supersport.

The BSA Cadet is a very pretty little break barrel plinker with open sights (fixed rear). Not designed to take a scope. This is an ideal starter gun and there were thousands sold in the 1950-60's.
