    R.L. Trask's The Penguin Guide to Punctuation helped me tremendously with the basic understanding of punctuation. Very easy to understand. - ideal for the beginner.     I was very impressed by the way most aspects of punctuation were explained. A very practical and easy to understand guide for both the young and mature student.
