Old technology, Sony has closed support site as of 3/2008. Says you can now use with any mp3...but it crashes you system or just stalls. Sony messed up another potentially great player/recorder...again!

Why market the Sony MZ-N505 to people who need to do interviews and then make it impossible to extract the interview. I can't transfer the recording to the computer to edit!

This Sony MZN505 was my 5th portable mini disc player from sony. They've all been great but sadly 1 got stolen and the other 2 i had to sell to friends because i needed the money! But i have bought this one twice now. (My brother stole the other one) Whilst looking for a cheap MD to take on holiday ...

Overall the Sony MZ-N505 is a good portable mini disk player. The only bad thing is that it does not have a screen on the controller and recording is difficult. Other than that the sound quility is 8/10 and it can hold a lot of music.

I love sony products, i really do. I've been tempted into buying this Sony MZN505 recording device, but, now i'm afraid that i'll have to return it. My main gripe about the minidisc is the format it uses the ATRAC3 format, is a proprietary format....sure it's small, sounds great but still there is a ...

Has a good sound but the software only allows 3 downloads. Has anyone found a way around the three download without re-downloading to my PC hard drive?

This minidisc player is terrific. I bought mine a few days before christmas, and since then it has worker great. Sound quality is excellent. The only problem is that a few weeks ago, whenever i tried to record new songs onto my minisdisc and it keeps on erasing all of the songs on the disc and i can ...

I bought this MD player very recently on Boxing Day, and have yet to be disappointed with it. The sound quality never ceases to amaze, but what I find most remarkable about it is it's ability to hold so many songs! The average mp3 player can only hold about 20 songs tops, but my N505 can hold double ...
