    I had a Philips DVD957 (Matchline) and it did stop working, so i had a choice of repairing it or getting a new one. I Found a Philips Matchline DVD-950 for a low price of $99.     Fantastic picture and sound! It even plays selfcreated VCD's, CD-R and CD-RW audiodiscs! Cool design.
