It broke down a couple of weeks after the 1 year warranty ran out! Sony products are more expensive than other products, because of their good reputation. I expect an 800 pound TV to last for more than a year. Sony customer service is almost non-existent.

I bought this in December 2002 to replace my previous 11 year old Sony KV-E2932U and I suppose it does give adequate results. I am no expert but to me the picture quality and colour are excellent especially with a dvd film. My only gripe is the text. I have never been able to receive text on BBC1 or ...

Recently bought one of these TV's and have to say how disappointed I am with it.
Main gripe I guess is with poor convergence - the image bends in at both sides at the top of the picture, more noticeable on 4:3 and 14:9 ratios.
