'99 Colorado. Just had the radiator fail between gearbox cooler & water. OUCH!!! Luckily I had only moved 30 yds on tickover. Radiator replaced & flushed. 20ltr of ATF through gearbox normal. But when the garage first flushed the box it was banging into gear. Since the 20 ltr flush I have put throug ...

Now over 200,000 miles in 9 years. Scrupulous 6000 mile oil changes. Doesn't seem quite as lively as it was when new! But seats 8, mixture of biggies and smallies, and tows a recovery trailer with 1 tonne vehicle, and still averaging 26 miles per gallon, this with auto.
One thing to remember, and m ...

After 1 year of ownership I am still in awe of its capabilities. Never been stuck in snow or mud. Pulls trailers like they're not there. Seats 8 adults, biggest in the front and middle though! Bought with 111,000 on clock, now at 129,000 and so far had 1 service, straight through the MOT, had 1 side ...

Allow £300-400 for a radiator rebuild as soon as you get a vehicle over 5 yrs old.

I've had my Toyota Land Cruiser Colorado for 4.5 years now and apart from having to replace tyres because of punctures I have had no problems with it at all.
I do think that for a top of the range vehicle they could have put the extra reversing light and motorway light on the nearside.

My friend owned an earlier model Toyota Land cruiser 4x4 for nearly 20 years. It was a 101% reliable, and travelled great distances carrying heavy PA systems and musical instruments. On many occasions I went along as a part of the band, and this convinced me to get my own. I have never looked back, ...

I decided to part company with my tow vehicle (I tow a 20 foot twin axle caravan) (Volvo S80 which was unreliable). Test drove many 4x4 vehicles, read reviews from Uk and US which made my mind to hunt for and purchase a 3.0ltr 4 door diesel Auto Colarado. I fell in love with the vehicle immediatley ...

I've wanted one all my working life but could never justify it, because it's easy to get the impression that it's going to cost an arm and a leg to run from tests and reports, and that always put me off. It doesn't. Yes it's heavy, and there's going to be a fuel penalty as a result, but the D4D en ...

The Toyota Landcruiser Colorado is probably the best off-roader money can buy. It has been voted as the best 4x4 in the WORLD 7 times including 1996, 1998 & 1999. It pulls incredibly well (it has 253lb/ft of torque!) and at extremely low revs as well (1600rpm). If you're thinking of buying one thoug ...
