The overall ratings given here do not accurately reflect what it is like to own one of these little cars long term. I think they're absolutely great!

I would never buy a Mercedes Benz A Class car again. Although it is spacious, it is also very unreliable, on most occasions the engine does not start straight away. And it's expensive to maintain.

The Mercedes Benz A-Class 170 CDi has good legroom front and rear. Diesel gives reasonable mileage to the gallon. I like the higher than average driving position leading to good visibility. I find it comfortable and good to drive. Once used to the bonnet being out of sight the vehicle is easy to pa ...

I have borrowed a Mercedes Benz A Class A140 as my car is in for repair. This is possibly one of the worst cars I have driven in recent years. It is twitchy and feels unstable at any speeds over 25 MPH. It tramlines almost violently over furrows and even raised white lines and requires more concentr ...

I have had a Mercedes Benz A class-a140/a160 - and now always rent them when my car is out of service - that says something.... but I don't own one anymore - that says something too...
Not bad on fuel, manouverable but a little unsteady on the Motorway. Doors always tend to be too close to the pa ...

All I seem to be reading here is negative reviews of the Mercedes Benz A class. I'm on my third A-Class, and have loved all of them, an A140, A160 and now an A210.
I have no problems with any of them and have done some epic journeys in them. North west UK to southern Spain on several occasions. T ...

Overall the Mercedes Benz A class-a140/a160 is a good concept and a great drive. ESP a life saver and all cars should have this. Semi-Auto best thing ever developed for town driving. MB Dealership non-existant and they really don't care. Quite happy to take £700.00 pounds from you and not fix ...

Went for 2 weeks break and left my 4 1/2 yr Mercedes Benz A class-A160 in a shaded protected carpark. When I got back, the aircon blows hot air instead of cold air. Took it into the Singapore dealer for servicing. They could not tell what the problem is. They could not even tell if the coolant is le ...
