Delayed for over 7 hours outbound with no explanation, moved around the airport gates as if we were on a treasure hunt. When explanations did come the virgin staff told people at the front of the line and was passed along as chinese whispers to the rest of us. Constant lies about estimated take off ...

Service on the flight was poor, not helpful and friendly. Meal service is ok, no drinks service prior to meal, seat were narrow despite being of small stature and overall it was quite disappointing. Flights out and back with Virgin Atlantic Airways were fine. Smooth landing and no stacking on return which was great so my ears were not badly affected. Flew Virgin to New York and cannot find fault. In particular all of the Virgin staff were brilliant. No queues at check-in even though the flight was pretty full, seats were very comfortable and the food was pretty good by airline standards.
