    I have had my Philips DVD-Q40 for three years now and believe the Faroudja chip makes the difference. I intended to upgrade it to a more expensive machine but when trialling them found that the Phillips was far superior.     The pictures are very good from this Philips DVD Q40 dvd player and it steers the surround sound around the room very well. So initially this seemed to be a giant step up from my old budget player but it has repeatedly frozen and now refuses to work after halfway through any film. Overall i would ...
