    We have never eaten in the Red Lion before but decided to go there with my parents (who live locally) for a Friday lunch meal.     Dropping in to The Red Lion at Newton on the off chance on a journey home from Norwich to Sheffield.     The Red Lion at Newton, Newton near Sleaford, is a very nice country pub with a wlcoming open fire in the winter months.     Me and my wife used to visit The Red Lion at Newton years ago and stopped going as it went downhill , but now with a new chef and really excellent food,the pub is the best place for miles around.     I had a lovely meal with my husband, in a great quirky old english pub we shall be back again soon. The recent renovations include really nice clean toilets.

    It is a nice pub in a sweet location, i would not go back, as i did not like the "in your face" service.
