The Pentium 4 is a nice CPU to have although, Intel made quite a few mistakes here and there. If your an intel fan or require the use of a powerful system e.g. for games, rendering or anything really intensive etc then go with the Athlon 64 or 64 X2 (even better, Intel's own, more up-to-date, Core2D ...

I got my Intel Pentium 4 processor with my AA8 3rd eye and I'm not much of a techy but the guru is reading the temp a 149 F. This is causing the fan to run at 4800 rpm and therefore vibrates a lot and is noisy. If anyone has input on how I could fix this problem please make a comment.

Intel Pentium 4 is by far the best processor you are going to buy. It's the fastest and the most powerful processor. It's brilliant quality and it supports ANY game you throw at it. DOOM 3, Half-Life2, Half-Life2 Lost Coast*, Counter-Strike Source, BattleField 2* And thats only on a 3.00GHz, 800MHzF ...

The Pentium 4 is by far a superior processor, it's basic math. The frontside bus of a P4 is 533mhz, the frontside of an Athlon is 100mhz, so it's easy to see the difference there. Plus P4's are just faster with clockspeed, would you really take a 2.53ghz P4 over an Athlon that won't even If you wan ...

The Intel Pentium 4 processor is good and it is the fastest processer out there. But the only problem is, they aren't as dependable as the pentium III processer. I think they slapped it on the market to meet demand. But this is only my opinion.
