In Jan 07, I moved to Australia and used the HSBC to transfer my money, around 15 grand sterling from my HSBC account to my new Australian Commonwealth bank account. You probably will be able to find cheaper money exchange services than HSBC Money Transfer, but I just feel more secure to do the transfer through my bank. If something goes wrong I know who to blame!
