Initially very impressed with the Philips DVD 750 DVD player - if used only to play commercially available DVD's.
However features can be hard to use, and other discs e.d DVD-r, DVD-RW, Mp3 CD-RW never seem to work.
Player often hangs requiring the power cable to be pulled out.

The Philips DVD 750 DVD player - No SVCD, no mp3, no DVD+R, no XVCD!!! Not even with the newest firmware and codes.

I initially got it because of it's price, and intended to get a Sony after I got some holiday money. However, after looking at the specs for more expensive players, this one had better options: output video components, menu options, etc. I now intend to keep this player and use the money for DVDs ...

have had the dvd750 for 6mths and compard with it with the sony and sharp range sony dvd are good but to make them multi region they have to be chiped which invailidates the gtee which i do not tink is a good thing.

This is a great DVD player. Very impressive.
Picture and sound is twice as good as my Video Recorder (also Philips).
