After about 9 months our first Actifry "Fried" and was replaced by Currys, Dec 08. Nov 09 just switched it on to make some low fat chips and it's fried again. I will take it back to Currys tomorrow for a replacement, hopefully Tefal has rectified the problem.

    Good invention but flimsy build.
Notches from lid break off and lid shows cracks.
Not easy to get spare parts.

Tefal has come up with the Acti-Fri a real must have Kitchen Appliance and although the Acti-Fri has the ability to produce mouth - watering delicious food-sadly after only buying my Acti-Fry April 2008 for Domestic use-mostly week-ends the motor has gone.

I paid with interest from a well known cat ...

This has to be the worst product to come out of the Tefal factory. The basic idea is excellent but the material leaves a lot to be desired. We are now on our 2ND Tefal ActiFry. The 1st one went on fire (electrical fault),thankfully before the guarantee ran out and was replaced by Argos.
    Now part of ...

Under engineered. The Tefal ActiFry FZ700015 stirrer broke while washing it. The lid catch melted.

The ActiFry is a good product overall, we find it best (for crispy chips)to not add oil for a couple of minutes. The lid hold down tabs have broken and £40 for a new lid is a rip off. Clearly not built to last, Maybe the brains at Tefal are more clever than we realise!!!

The food from the Tefal ActiFry FZ700015 is great! It makes exceptionally good tasting chips & cooks great low fat meat products. It's ideal for weight watchers & diabetics I love this aspect of the machine. However, after almost a year one connecter on the acrylic lid and the mesh filter plastic ...

Chips made in my Tefal ActiFry were not as crispy as I expected, the timer window steams up, chips sometimes get stuck on upper edge whilst cooking and I have to open the machine to retreive them, but the food tastes good so I am happy with that.
