after 15 months the graphics went and had to have it repaired, not happy i expected it to last a lot longer than that since talking to other people about it another one of my freinds had the same trouble after 13 months, not a good advert for advent !!!!

i bought my laptop after 6 months the mptherboard died, sent it in for repair, then 2 days before warrentee expired the motherboard died again !!!! sent it in for repair, i just couldnt believe it one month later it went again, 3 sodding mother boards this laptop has had, i recieved it back this mor ...

i bought the advent 5401 last july and after 13 months the motherboard went due to the graphics card overheating the pc and ruining the motherboard i would not recommened this laptop to anyone as there was obviously a fault with it to start with pc world deny they ve never heard there is a fault wit ...

i bought an advent 5401 laptop 13 months ago and have just found out the mother board has burnt out due to a dodgy graphics card been to pc world and they said lap tops can go wrong and were completly unhelpful i paid nearly 500 pound for it and am angry that they seem to think its ok to last for on ...

I bough an Advent 5401 last year from PC world in Derry and the thing gave up after 13 months. They told me to get lost that they were only interested in selling not fixing and that i shoud have bought a decent laptop, at 450 pounds i thought i was. This Advent 5401 is a piece of junk. The battery life on it is pathetic and after owning it for only 13 months it just died! After 13 months of easy use the grahpics failed on my Advent 5401 leaving a completely dead laptop. PC World's (the supplier) only comment to me was ' thats modern technology for you' and refusal to do anything about it.
So I would definitely think twice before purchasing this machine.

A nice good quality laptop at a great price.Vista runs a treat due to the great spec overall i am very happy with this Advent 5401 machine.

This advent 5401 Laptop has caused me nothing but misery from day one, I got it for christmas 2 years back, after 4 months the screen just went without no reason, pc world said it was faulty so i got a new one 3 months after that the charging cable wasnt working so that was replaced by pc world afte ...
