He was truly sturdily and calmly when he was facing his Mother, and he never gave up! He had the determination to fight for his freedom as well as get back his real family. I can't even know that why was his Mother treated him in this way? It's a great book, I enjoy it very much.

Dave Pelzer, My Story Review - He never let things get him down and always stood tall ever when his mother beat him. A really good story every body should read.

Everything about it. The most intersting story I have ever read. I really got sucked into it and it provoked so many feelings.
I can't beleive how much his mother put him through I sometimes just felt like crying. I was so close to tears.

The general comments that I have about the book My Story by Dave Pelzer is that it is a really sad book and that if you are depressed you should not read it and if you get teary really easy then you should also not read this book.

l admire Dave Pelzer so much for being so strong and for helping so many people in his life and through theses books. He is an inspiration to all. I was so pleased at the end of the book to read that he is finally truly happy, he deserves it so much.

The best book i have ever read. It was so meaningful to see someone making such a go of life after being traumatized the way he was.

I'm 14, and I have just started reading 'A Man Named Dave' by Dave Pelzer. 'A Child Called It' was so sad and upsetting, but it just showed how strong a little boy can be! I was so proud at how he kept going, even though his mother was beating and abusing him every day, and even starving him of food ...
