As a 100.000 mles a year long distance courier driver, a good sat nav is very important to me. updated because my old sat nav, at 3 years old, was getting a bit dated. OLD SAT FINDS ROADS THAT 200W CANT. maps seem 2 be way out of date. the only sat nav that i know off that does not have traffic ligh ...

I was led to rely on the slick looks of this thing and the name of course. As other people said on here the routing is terible, you can not search for all POI every where, you will be lucky to get a signal for your entire journey and when you get it it freezes many times... I gave up on this and bou ...

Hard to fault the Garmin Nuvi 200W. Operation is intuitive. Maps excellent. Build quality superb.May be light on fancy features of other units but most of those are quickly forgotten gimmicks anyway. Garmin have been the catch up kids to Tom Tom on terrestial GPS devices but that was because all the ...

Good price updates if you miss the turning.
But unlike tom toms if you speed in a 30 for example to display changes red, with a Garmin it doesnt.
Try finding the euro tunnel down in Dover! or stansted airport, if you located in the north of england.
The menu only shows places local to where you a ...

Commom sence needed. Since the Garmin Nuvi 200W (nor any other sat nav) have taken driving tests so may ask you to do dodgy maneuveres! Keep your wits about you!

The Garmin Nuvi is my first ever sat nav - chose this model because of the widescreen which is so much bigger than others Id seen. The voice gets annoying, but any sat nav would have the same problem.
But I have found it very easy to use, Id looked at Tom Tom and I didnt like that half as much.

Every time I start a trip from a new location the Garmin Nuvi re-initialises, which makes the unit useless on short trips, you're halfway home before the sat nav starts working. I've used Tom-Tom and Route 66, both find the satellites within minutes.

Ease of use, good visual turn instruction, clear mapping, (UK & Europe) automatic switch from night to day screen, excellent warning of fixed and mobile speed cameras. Good add ...
