The Second MarkII VW Golf I've owned (the first being a 1.3) and I love it - bought it "without a starter motor" and then found that the lady had just flicked the immobiliser switch that some previous owner had put in.

Love it, would reccomend but from what my mates think and I think are totally differant. Amazing driving position, spacious, great old school looks, semi gti trim inc steering wheel, sounds great standerd.

I own a 1989 golf mk2 1.6 driver, it has been recently fitted with a weber 32/34 carb, GTi front suspension and GTi interior. Even though the interior was badly put on and is now decaying, the car is in great shape. The 1.6 has enough grunt for everyday stuff and enough for some fun, but it could do ...
