I have owned this pro-elite (.22) for about 10 years. I did try using it with a .177 barrel and that did give a flatter trojectory and faster f.p.s. I recently was convinced by BWassung bot's review and advice to seek the Air Arms Pro-Elite rifle out.
I got lucky and found one at straight shooters.
This rifle is incredible!
I was able to set it up(bushnell trophy scope)and zero it in easily, which wasn't the case with my Gamo 1250 hunter.
