  Philips DVDR3450H review - I have to admit-this was not bought new. It came from cash converters but many people will see these sold cheaply and will be the first HDD machine they own.I have a suspicion it will also not be their last!

  See bad points. Have now finally got my money back from Comet who acknowledged that they'd had a lot of problems with Philips DVD/HDD recorders which is why they stock so few now (1 when I looked just now). Have swapped it for a Sony - heaven! It works, it's quick, responsive, starts instantly, etc, ...
