  I think that the Mitchell Avocet Big Surf 6500 is a great reel, I brought one ages ago and I have a few others reel but this is still up there as a decent one. You can also pick these up for a pretty decent price as well.

  Although designed for the beach fisherman, I bought 2 of these reels for my spod & marker float rods when carp fishing. They are big pit reels and come with 2 aluminium spools, one deep & one shallow with is great for braid. Main features of the reel are 3+1 ball bearings, instant infinate anti-re ...
