Had one of these for one year approx and it is an amazing piece of kit. Its a plodder rather than a high revving cutter and hence due to the design branches are reduced to a rough rather than fine mulch. If you have a big garden like me, buy one .... you won't regret it!!

I've had two in the last month and both have failed for the same reason. The machine uses a bladed cog, which cuts against a striking plate. This Flymo Pac A Shred is my third shredder, and by far the best. It dealt with a mountain of laurel quickly and quietly, far surpassing my expectations. It coped with thick branches with real ease.
