Applied for a Bread pre-pay debit card. I was asked to pay via text, paid £10.00 then received email to say that I have not been accepted...and could only have money returned by cheque within 14 days,

I tried to use the Bread card for an on-line transaction but the money to be transferred simply disappeared. I haven't had any help from customer services despite umpteen e-mails. Also, my password to their web site doesn't work although that is the one I chose.

Dont get one, I tried but they lost my order after paying them 10 pounds, 80 pence a minute to call them, it would cost me more than the 10 pounds I sent them to get my money back in phone calls, they never answered my emails, i now have a Virgin card, got it in 4 days flat, 3 pence in the pound to ...

I have had nothing but trouble with the BREAD card.
When the card arrived it simply did not work - i.e. the PayPoint loading machines could not read it, nor could ATMS. I repeatedly tried to write to the site, but have received no response. The 80 pence a minute call line is a disaster.
