    We stayed at The New Angel for our 10th anniversary in July 2008. We stayed at the New Angel rooms and the room was lovely and spotlessly clean however a shower would have been appreciated, there was only a bath.     Great food, go for lunch. Restaurant - very good service, food also excellent but you pay for what you get.
    Hotel - don't bother, choose another if you are staying.

    Would I eat there again?...No, or only if someone else were footing the bill.
    Equally good food on offer for less at hundreds of other places.
    Would I stay in the New Angel rooms again? No!

    Yippee! We have just booked to go back to The New Angel on our 2008 trip to Dartmouth - only 3 weeks to wait!

    Brilliant. Went last weekend. I'm lucky to have eaten in a few of the 'great' places in the UK and the The New Angel, Dartmouth, Devon is one of the best.

    I urge anyone who has visited the New Angel before to try it again. The arrival of brilliant new chef should turn the tide and the fortunes of this prestigious eaterie.     Poor food, nothing special about it. Decor leaves a lot to be desired. Too expensive. What a rip-off!

    We ate at The New Angel in Dartmouth on Tuesday 18th September, 2007.
    The table setting was haphazard - no table cloth, and the surface looked as if it could do with a clean.
