the BSA goldstar is a very nice rifle indeed ,and british too. for maximum reliability keep the ten shot mag spotlessly clean and oil regularly but sparingly with fine machine oil.power is on the limit at11.8 ft lbs ..can be tuned for a smoother and sweeter action .these rifles are becoming harder t ...

This is a fine rifle, I bought mine second hand over 12 years ago. In this time the rifle has done me proud. Many a rabbit has fallen to the goldstar which is good up to 40 or so yards. The mag has been a bit of a pain but a friend put it through an ultrasonic oil parts bath and it seems to have a n ...

Which pellets shoot best in yours Chris, I've tried 6 different makes but can't often get 5 in a 1/2" group, RWS Superpoints seem to be the best so far. You won't have any trouble fitting a gas strutt as long as you don't take the piston cylinder out, the spigot needs to be filed flat on the retaini ...

I decided to fit a gas strutt, BSA Goldstar .177. This is my first air rifle, don't know much about the workings. There are 4 spacers and 4 washers to take out (Goldstar only BSA that has spacers) to fit the strutt. The last one was difficult to get at so I took the piston out, (big mistake) now the ...

I bought my BSA Goldstar air rifle as a repair job, it had been used for professional pest control.

With a good strip, relube and careful screwing together it is a fully functioning tidy rifle.
Even before I polished and honed the internals it was a smooth rifle, now it's silky.

    The magazine ...

I bought the BSA Goldstar primarily for it's repeating function- the 10-shot magazine. Now I wish I hadn't. Quite simply, the magazine is the worst-designed piece of cr*p that I have ever had the misfortune to encounter.

Everything else about the rifle is fine- it looks gorgeous, and is incredib ...

Open sights on the BSA Goldstar air rifle are good although you really should have a telescopic to make use of this tool. It is the most powerful airgun i have had, a ruff test seems to be how far away it can put a pellet through a pellet tin lid. The scope rails are a very good attachment for scope ...
