I agree with many of the comments made here, however the Vax V006U cleaner does need looking after, we've had one for 3 years and the power is second to none, however there is a floor in the design. The hose is bent too tightly at the bottom of the cleaner so it gets clogged! I can't understand when ...

Build quality of this Vax V006U doesn't seem to be able to cope with the demands of a family home with dogs. The filter replacement costs over 25% of original cost and it is very heavy.

I bought the VS006U about 6 months ago as a upgrade to my dated hitachi, i wish i hadnt of bothered. The vax worked well to start with but its such a hassle to empty with dust going everywhere and it gets full so easy i can only manage to clean two rooms at a time before i have to empty it. We got given this vac, and to be honest i wouldn't buy one my self. The suction is rubbish especially from the hose, its heavy and noisy and emptying it is like hell- dust goes everywhere. Do not buy a Vax or any bagless vacuum, yes they might be free to maintain, but they do not do their job prope ...

This is my first (and last) bagless vacuum cleaner
It does perform well in some ways but it is heavy and best for large floor areas
The long cord does allow you to go right up the stairs and the supplied turbo brush head is very good
You can see when it is full but emptying it puts more dust back ...
