Overall I rate this motorcycle very highly indeed. It will perform if asked to and keeps the rider isolated from rutted road surfaces. It handles far better with Metzler Marathon tyres as against the old Dunlops that came with it and gives good fuel economy if you don't thrash it. I agree about the ...

What a dream of bike to own. Trouble-free, a great commuter and tourer. I rode the Honda Pacific Coast to Alaska twice (11,000 miles round trip). All I've ever had to do is change the oil/filter, rear shaft fluid, air filter and a set of plugs. Oh, one carb sync check but it was still spot-on.

If you think id like a deauville but the panniers are too small or its a bit much for two up, or i,d have a pan european if it had a smaller engine then the Honda Pacific Coast 800 is definitely well worth a test ride. I sold mine to buy a sports tourer and always wish I,d stayed with the Honda pc.
