Well i have an English Springer Spaniel and they are very fit always wanting to make you happy and a very pleasing dog will run until they drop to please you and are very fast amazing with children, very good dog better than most

This is my first ESS! Besides my wife she is the love of my life. Sometimes I feel like she knows exactly what I want. She has slept in bed with us since we got her at 8 weeks. One of her favorite things to do is ride in the car. She is one of the best friends I've ever had.

I love Springers. I've now got my second one, having first owned a springer as a teenager, and having spent a few dogless years in between. They're wonderful dogs. Smart, affectionate and the clowns of the dog world.

I've owned English Springer Spaniels as pets and worked springers for well over 30 years.
I've worked them as detection dogs, and as working gundogs, their original use.
I would go against the grain of other reviews here and say that they are not necessarily good pets, they are very intelligen ...

We are now raising Spaniel #2 (Lord Winslow) and #3 (Sir Theodore Usidae).
We started 12 years ago with "Fugly the Wonder Spaniel," a liver and white Springer, and he is sorely missed (sits in an urn on our dresser). He had problems with his ears and allergy eyes, but so lovable! Did I say smart? ...
