I would not buy an old one. Bought it at auction for £3,400 it was 18 months old with 20,000 on the clock in 2002.
Sold in 2008 for £720 on e bay
The car cost next to nothing to run excellent value.

Bought the Kia Shuma new in 1999 for just £6000. Incredible value for money at the time. Has cost me practically nothing to run: tyres £70 a pair for the front; one set of front pads in 118,000 miles! New radiator at 100,000 miles, driveshaft boots and a few bulbs. That's it. Not a spot ...

I think that for the money that you pay for the car from new they are a terific little car and just keep going. The car has plenty of pull in all gears, good all round electrics, is relatively cheap and will keep up with most other cars. My one has done 104,000 plus miles so far and has never steppe ...

Have had this KIA Shuma 1999 family car for three months and been very pleased with it, engine is more than powerful enough for the car and has handled anything I have thrown at it, ride quality is very smooth and quiet, and is a great car for the money, a practical alternative to a Mondeo or Peugeo ...

The KIA Shuma 1999 is a cheap car, very good value for the size and reliability, clutch went after the first year, I believe this was poorly assembled at the factory, never had a problem since having a new clutch fitted at my expense at the KIA dealership.

The car is a very good value for the money, no problems in two years, but will never buy a car from KIA again.
It realy has a big consumption of petrol (old technology) as with the air conditioning on is around 15 liters on 100Kms. Realy bad.
