    I won the Tannoy Series 90 - DC1000 speakers on eBay around a couple of months ago for almost £90, a bargain compared to other loudspeakers I could have got for that price, and a big step up from my previous pair of Tannoy MX1's, and before those a weeny pair that came with my Technics SC-HD70 ...

    I have owned a pair of DC2000's for around 13 years. I chose them after listening to just about everything, at the time, between £200+, and £800+. These were going for around £300= at the time and I was lucky to get a discount.

    I have had my Tannoy DC1000's since about 1985-6 ish, having paid about GBP160 for them - a lot of pocket money for me in those days. Every penny has proved to be really well spent. Excellent tight bass, not boomy but well controlled stuff, like you find in Tannoys new Near Field monitors.

    I have had these Tannoy Series 90 DC1000 speakers for over 10 years. They are very pleasant to listen to - you can enjoy their loud, smooth sound for hours without your ears begging for mercy. If you ever get the chance to own a pair, just listen and you will be hooked.
