  the Panasonic DVD-S52 player is solid,robust and plays a large variety of discs with excellent picture quality (Blacks that are true blacks) Excellent functionality.

  Upscaling this good should do away with the need to renew my rather large DVD collection. Why would anybody choose anything else (besides the free Blu-Ray disk with the Hi-Def PS3. For the price you will have to search a lot longer.
