The 2 litre 177 BHP engine (120d) is the one to go for, and the M Sport spec gives you just about everything you need. In 3-door guise it looks great too. Really happy with the BMW 1 Series 120d M Sport car, even coming from a Jaguar X-Type. Automatic box is very good. Smooth ride and well built.

This car is fantastic in every way - econmical, fast, and has the best ride i have ever experienced. I was unsure as changed from driving 3 series coupes for 10 years but the road manners and drive are much more rewarding! Buy it in MSport version if you want to feel special.

The BMW 120d M is on of the best small cars I have ever driven in terms of pure driving pleasure, it goes where you point it, no matter how hard you are driving. Its green, 58 mpg, the right emissions, so youre doing your bit for the planet as well.
