It seems to me a bit like an accurate model of the red ryder. I used this daisy avanti 853 gun in camp and hit every target, or pingpong ball etc... Then I brought my red ryder to camp and tried and got near the same results. I think it packs a bit more of a punch, saying this by expiernce from shoo ...

    Amazing.
After a hiatus of 15 years I've decided to get back into shooting. In the mid 80's/early 90's I competitively shot rimfire but gave it up when my career got too hectic.
This Christmas I gave my 7 year old a Red Ryder and within a day dad was hooked too.
So off to the store to find someth ...

I don't own one, but i have one assigned to me. The first day i got the rifle in my competition team, it was an older model. It wasn't sighted to me, and it was not adjusted to the way i needed, but i was still shooting and getting good scores. This is truly a great competition rifle, and i am lo ...

I used this gun with my squadran of cadets and although it was my first time i was amazed by the accuracy entailed in the making of this gun by my 15 th shot i could group 5 pelets in a 2.5 cm circle ( this is on my first day!) i have to say the trigger pull is a bit long so you need to count on bei ...

This Daisy Avanti 853 Legend is the first air gun I have ever owned and I bought it based on several online reviews (including ones here). I had expected to get an air rifle with a tough trigger but maybe I got lucky, my trigger is very nice, probaby near 3 Lb pull and it is very quiet to shoot.

The Daisy Avanti 853 Legend is an excellent little air rifle. I have been shooting all sorts of guns and air rifles for much of my life, but I was first introduced to the 853 when I made the final cut for the local JROTC rifle team last month. It's simply a joy to shoot, and I have never been much o ...

Bought my 853 Avanti from Airgun Express for $180. The order arrived in about 5 days. At that price one cannot expect perfection or the highest quality construction. Some of the plastic such as the butt plate extensions detract from what otherwise looks like a real, quality firearm. I'm 5 ft 8 inche ...

This is an entirely different rifle than the Powerline series of Daisy rifle and is intended for the beginning competitive shooter at 10 meters. We use these as training rifles and in 4H competition. They are capable of one ragged hole groups.
