    I got my Sony RXD10AV a long time ago, and a few years later I was on the hunt for a DVD player, one with analog 5.1 output, thus the DVP-NS400D appeared.

    It took about 3 weeks of changing the settings to get it right, but I did.

    I have had a Sony DVP-NS400D player for some while and it has bothered me since I bought it. I have to release my anger and share this...

    The player is so slow to figure out the format of the inserted media, e.g. audio CD that it is really, really, anoying. Guess we are speaking around 10 seconds ...

    Sony DVP-NS400D DVD Player: I had a similar audio problem but managed to cure it. In the setup for the DVD player it was set to AUTO to automatically detect and select the best sound track available.     I have a Sony DSP-935 receiver and Bose am-10 speakers. The DVP-NS400D dvd player is hooked up via S-Video and Optical Audio.     Sony Do It Again! The DVP-NS400D is a great machine, easy to use, sensibly priced and beautiful to look at. If you are not a technical whizz then this is the one for you! Thank you Sony for making life so much easier!
