We have had a Waterside MC250 water softener for about 11 years. Because of its restricted location it is difficult to access, load and service. Notwithstanding, it has proved to be an effective, reliable and durable unit, adquately serving the needs of a large and busy household, but when I replace ...

All the negative comments in this section are entirely in keeping with my own experiences of this product. Just in case anyone has missed the point, it is RUBBISH! I personally would never buy another Culligan product. I have recently bought a new Harvey Block Salt softener which, although it is a b ...

Having had MC250 for about6 years it's been a waste of money and nothing but trouble. Had it not been for the guy who lives opposite me having brought a new discounted head mine would have been kicked out a long time ago as he gave me spare parts. I think I've had all the problems listed leaking fil ...

I would not touch any of the culligan Water softners even if they were the last softners on this planet.
I have had nothing but grief since being associated with the brand and have now moved on to companies like Harveys and Monarch who have customer services skills and want to assist.

I have had my MC250 for quite a number of years..poss. 8. had a couple of issues, leaking valve at the top (twice) but was fixed by very competent and polite engineer from Culligan.
That was 5 years ago and had no problems since

I keep seeing poor comments about this Waterside MC250 unit, but mine has worked fine for the last 8 years.
Early leak issue (only minor from valve top) was quickly sorted out by a very competent and polite Culligan engineer and had no problems since.
Problem apears to be that non-Ciulligan dealers ...

have been using Waterside MC250 for 10 years with Magaflow. Culligan took over Waterside and now seem to have a monopoly on parts and service. It has failed 3 times, most recently with continuous overflow. 2 years ago had dispute with Culligan as service technician tried to phone to bring appoin ...

Our Waterside MC250 failed last November (leak around inlet fixed by local plumber replacing tiny o-ring), then again big time about four weeks ago (appears to be failed water outlet), resulting in a flooded kitchen and cellar. Nightmare! Hence, seeking a different model to sit outside the kitchen w ...

The Waterside MC250 is simple to install, and very reliable. Simplicity of operation, connections and salt feed. Initial water softener settings are straight forward.
